World Nutrition, Inc. is Committed to Providing Our Customers with Safe Products

With concerns arising from recent events in Japan, we want to inform our customers that U.S. Customs has announced that it is monitoring developments carefully and is specifically assessing the potential for radiological contamination associated with the impact of the earthquake and tsunami to Japan’s nuclear facilities.

World Nutrition, Inc. currently imports four products from Japan which include Vitalzym 180ct, Vitalzym 360ct, VitalzymXe 180ct and Ketsumeisei. Our production facility in Japan is located in Shizuoka which is approximately 250 miles away from the effected power plant. Our other products including the original powder-filled blends of Vitalzym are manufactured in the United States.

World Nutrition, Inc. is committed to ensuring that none of the products we ship to our customers are contaminated with radiation as a result of the recent events in Japan.

FDA’s screenings at U.S. borders will remain vigilant and will be augmented with radiation screenings of shipments to ensure safety of all our products imported from Japan. The only challenge we may face due to heightened screening measures is a possible delay in shipment availability. However, our company currently has an ample supply of finished product for Vitalzym (180ct & 360ct), VitalzymXe (180ct) and Ketsumeisei in our fulfillment center located in the United States; and we do not anticipate any delays in shipping products to our customers.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your account manager at 800-548-2710.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Japan affected by this tragedy.

Made in Japan under Japanese Manufacturing Guidelines

World Nutrition Incorporated was founded in 2000. Its founder has exemplified the Japanese culture through his desire for perfection and attention to detail in manufacturing processes. His dietary supplements were produced at his local 150,000 sq. foot manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ until 2004.

World Nutrition became one of the first nutraceutical manufacturers in the United States to introduce a plant based systemic enzyme supplement. The fragile nature of systemic enzyme blends makes them require high tech equipment and extreme quality control. In order to provide the most consistent, high quality enzyme products in the market, manufacturing was moved to their state of the art facility in Japan.

Vitalzym is regulated by the Pharmaceutical and Food Safety Bureau under the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare in Japan. This agency is the Japanese equivalent of the FDA of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Since Vitalzym is regulated in Japan, it must adhere to manufacturing requirements that are far more stringent than dietary supplements manufactured in the United States. Supplements manufactured in the United States are considered food grade, and thus, are not regulated as stringently as in Japan.

Quality control requirements of a licensed manufacturing facility in Japan are considered the most hygienic of any industry. Extreme measures are taken to avoid any possibility of contamination. Precautions include clean rooms, dust particle control, and sophisticated air filtration systems. During frequent site facility inspections, the government inspects all laboratory equipment and safety measures. Each inspection must be passed in order to retain the export licensure.

World Nutrition is also required to notify the Japanese Pharmaceutical and Food Safety Bureau of any variance to the registered ingredient blend. Any blend change would require a new registration for export. Every batch of product must be inspected before and after mixing to test adherence to the registered blend. In addition, every lot of raw materials received by our manufacturing facility must be tested independently of the supplier for safety, impurities, potency, and accuracy. These records must be disclosed upon facility inspections.

These Japanese manufacturing guidelines unique to the manufacturing of Vitalzym ensure that each and every capsule is of the utmost purity, potency and safety.*
